Meet Your Therapist
David P. Basile, PhD, LMT - MSG013505 - David is a graduate of the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, where he trained in Swedish, Trigger Point (Neuromuscular), Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, and Reflexology. He is a practitioner of CranioSacral Therapy, and also a Master level Reiki practitioner with years of meditation experience, bringing a calm yet engaging presence to bodywork.
David earned Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from Carnegie Mellon University, and has designed, built and directed analytical transmission electron microscopy laboratories in U.S. Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. He strives to understand the nature of his client’s condition and goals, and to provide evidence-based therapeutic bodywork to help facilitate better health and wellness.
David provides therapeutic massage, craniosacral and reiki sessions to help clients meet their goals for relaxation and well-being, reduce pain and muscle soreness, enhance fitness and sports performance, prevent and recover from injuries, and facilitate better range-of-motion. He has years of continuous personal experience playing team sports, notably baseball and hockey, and currently plays baseball in Latrobe and Derry PA, Asheville NC, and Fort Myers FL.
David believes in a proactive approach to health and well-being, and has benefited from quality bodywork to enhance his own well-being and sports performance for many years. He is realizing his dream of ‘giving back’ to people of all walks of life, of any level of athletic skill, and in any profession or hobby, by using multiple therapeutic modalities based on client’s needs and goals. David is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
